How does day and night occur?

How does day and night occur?

After 6 pm, the light goes away and it gradually becomes dark. If you think about this, then a question will definitely come to mind that how do day and night occur?

The earth rotates once every 24 hours. The phenomenon of day and night occurs due to the rotation of the earth. Day occurs when the sun revolves around the earth and night occurs when the moon covers the sun. This process occurs in the form of a chain and results in day and night.

As the Earth rotates, different parts of it are exposed to sunlight. When a particular location faces the Sun, it is daylight, and when it faces away from the Sun, it is night.

Our atmosphere is a mixture of oxygen, nitrogen and other gases. At night, the atmosphere causes many celestial bodies to appear blurry. This phenomenon is called celestial twinkling or colloquially known as star twinkling.
