Do you also vomit while travelling? Know why this happens to you.
Many people have the problem of nausea and vomiting during travel. This causes inconvenience to the person vomiting as well as other passengers travelling. You may have seen many people struggling with this problem during travel, but have you ever wondered why this happens?
Vomiting while travelling is called motion sickness. Motion means movement and sickness means illness i.e. a problem caused by movement. This is not a disease but a condition in which our eyes, ears and skin send different signals to the brain. Due to which our central nervous system gets confused.
It is not our stomach that plays an important role in vomiting, but our eyes and brain. To our eyes, everything inside the car, the seats, the passengers around us, appears to be still at their places. That is to say, if we do not look outside, our eyes see that nothing is moving.
On the other hand, the ears sense this movement. The fluid present in the ears plays a big role in maintaining physical balance. As soon as the body comes into a dynamic state, this fluid continuously gives signals to the brain. On the other hand, the eyes are also sending different signals to the brain.
The brain gets confused by all these signals. In this situation, the brain considers it a message of disturbance or a side effect of some poison and orders the vomiting center present in the body to vomit. In this way, when the coordination is not right, people vomit.
